Wimbledon Men’s Semifinals 2013

Tennis

We are now into the final days of Wimbledon with Sabine Lisicki and Marion Bartoli setting up a fairly even Women’s final. It pains me a little to see @TheProfitsComAu‘s crush Lisicki get there, but it should be a great battle.

Tonight we have two really solid games and to be honest, I think they have been handicapped fairly well, which isn’t great from our point of view. That being said, now that it is semifinal time, we get a few extra markets that start to appear from the bookmakers.

If I were to side with a handicap, I would side with Djokovic -5.5 and Janowicz +5.5, however these plays again jumps out to me regarding Djokovic vs Del Potro:
Djokovic -1.5 games 1st set at $1.83 at Sportsbet
Djokovic -1.5 games 2nd set at $1.83 at Sportsbet
Djokovic -1.5 games 3rd set at $1.83 at Sportsbet

I think Novak is far and above any other player Del Potro has encountered. Yes, he has only been broken twice this tournament, however the best he has been up against is a hobbled Ferrer. Not something I will be doing personally, but you’d anticipate at least 2 of 3 covering.

Best Bet

Djokovic most Aces at $1.55 at Sportsbet (Confidence 90%)
He has WON this this market 8 of the last 10 meetings with one tie and one loss. With Del Potro hampered on the return of serve, this seems a great play for mine.

Prop Plays

Janowicz first ace at $1.78 at Sportsbet

Handicap Plays

Djokovic -5.5 (Confidence 70%)
Janowicz +5.5 (Confidence 65%)
