One of the most impressive stats of round 1 for Tommy Haas was the winners to unforced errors ratio. 38 winners and only 13 unforced errors is a great sign coming into a match against a player like Lu, who isn’t majorly dominant off either wing. His first serve points won % has been pretty impressive over the last couple of tournaments, however no opponents are of the standard of Tommy.

I thought I would have a bit of a look at how Lu has gone against the top 20 players over the last 3 years on hardcourt (since start of 2011). In this time period, the stats don’t make for pretty reading for Lu. Of completed matches, he has gone 0-10. He has managed to take a set on 3 occasions, however some of the losses have been quite ugly. On average, Lu is -2.56 games per set vs top 20 players on hardcourt.

Considering the form of Haas, especially with the low unforced error count, I cannot ignore the -6.5 games on offer here.

Suggested Bet: Tommy Haas -6 games at $1.77 at Sportingbet
Confidence: 70%
