I could think of nothing worse than playing Rafael Nadal coming off back to back 5 set matches, even with the extra day off. Gasquet also fits into the same category as Robredo, in that he is heavily reliant on his one-handed backhand, which can cause a lot of grief when playing against Nadal.
In their past h2h meetings, Nadal is 10-0 in matches that have reached completion at ATP level. Across those 10 matches, Gasquet averages 2.96 games per set. Although not a stat to go off on itself, it is something to consider anyway.
In the 9 non-Davis Cup meetings, Nadal has had 87 break point opportunities, converting 46 of them. In that same time Gasquet has only had 32 opportunities, converting 16. More opportunities, and on the big stage, makes me suggest Nadal will come out on top against Gasquet in a 6-2 6-3 6-2 type scoreline. Gasquet has been impressive, but it comes to an end
