2013 US Open Day 11

Another great night overnight, with the stats holding up and both bets getting over the line with relative ease. I am only passing judgement on the Wawrinka vs Murray match at this point, and will add my Djokovic/Youzhny opinion in the morning, so make sure you are keeping an eye on Ace_TheProfits.

This play is more of a hunch play. A play on potential. Stan absolutely dominated Berdych after that first set, and has been very solid across the whole week. He has looked reasonably solid on serve for long periods, and with his style of return of serve suggests that he is always capable of breaking even the biggest of serves (eg Ivo Karlovic).

When you cast your eye over the winners and unforced errors counts through the first four rounds, you will see that Murray hasn’t been particularly impressive. He has plodded his way through, letting his opponent hit winners and make errors rather than being particularly assertive. I have excluded the Llodra match from stats I have looked into as Llodra treated that as an exhibition and nothing else. Leo Mayer really tried to push Andy, and since Wimbledon he has been having significant lulls in matches.

I think Stan can capitalise on this, and, as I said before, on his potential can cause some massive problems for Murray. The fact Stan was hitting through Murray on clay earlier this year adds to this. This match is on the racquet of Stan.
