Put away your Rugby and AFL jumpers, the A-League is back! No one could have expected Western Sydney to make it to the 2012/13 final, but there is no mistake that they are back to win it this year with the bookies putting them up as the favourites to win it all this year.

I generally don’t get too involved in Futures Markets with A League as it does tend to be a volatile league, occasionally teams tend to exponentially improve/decline season to season, plenty of players traded in and out each year, and I also like to get my money there and then and not have to wait 6 months for a collect, but there is a few that jump out at me.
Central Coast – Championship at $5.50 with Sportingbet
I’m shocked that Sportingbet have Central Coast as 3rd favourite behind Melbourne Victory ($5.00) and Western Sydney ($5.00). Other books have them as low as $4.33. They look certain to finish top 4, if not top 2, giving them a home final which they will most likely win, add in their previous finals experience I think it’s a good bet.
Adelaide – Premiership at $15.00 with Luxbet
Obviously this is a little rougher but $15.00 is overs for Adelaide with most books having them at $11.00. They have a decent team and can put it all together when right and I don’t think the likes of Sydney and Brisbane should be half the price of Adelaide.
Central Coast – Minor Premiership at $5.50 with Luxbet
I think Central Coast and Western Sydney ($5.00) should hold about 75%+ of this market making them both good odds, but think there is slightly more value with Central Coast, TAB have them at $3.50. They were basically unbeatable at home last season, all they need to do is slightly pick up their road efforts and they should be able to tie up the Minor Premiership. If their away record improves this season, it will make them the toughest team to beat during the season.
Melbourne Victory – To Finish Top 6 at $1.35 with Tatts
A little short for me but if you have any other long-range futures that you want to lob together in a multi this is good value. Some books have them as short as $1.12, so the $1.35 is clear overs.
