French Open 2016 Day 4

Day 4 French Open action gets underway from 7.00pm and Ace has a few plays ahead for the day.

French Open Day 4

Bet 1 – 0.75 unit bet
Kuznetsov to defeat Nishikori at $10.66 at Pinnacle

I have an incredibly high opinion of Kuznetsov, and I really think this price is a bit of value in a best of 5 set match. Kuznetsov absolutely wiped Becker off the court in the first round, losing only 17 points on serve, and losing his serve only once, in a 6-2 6-2 6-4 victory on day 1 of the tournament.

Nishikori did what he needed to in the first round and not much more, taking advantage of a -19 winner to unforced error count from Bolelli. I don’t think Kuznetsov is going to provide Kei with as many gifts.

I think Kuznetsov can be top 20 by the end of the year. He is impressive on clay, and I think this is his chance to make a name for himself and take a big scalp at Grand Slam level.

Bet 2 – 3 unit bet
Kuznetsov/Nishikori over 31 games at $1.86 at Pinnacle

I’m more confident with the over than Kuznetsov +7.5 if I had to pick. I obviously think Kuznetsov can win, but if he wins a set it’ll be tight. If he finds himself down say 2 sets to 1 and a break he may fall in a hole, so I’d much prefer to over 31 games here.

As always, keep an eye on my Twitter as there may be a play or two tweeted later in the evening.
