NBA Tips 7 February 2016

A perfect three from three on Saturday continued a great start to February, as The Big Dog moved to 6-1 for the month, for a profit of 4.46 units. Sunday looks a little tougher to find value and the standout today comes on the heels of one of yesterday’s successful tips. In fact, today’s “Play of the Day” actually looks better than yesterday, looking at the target.

Washington Wizards @ Charlotte Hornets

The Wizards are coming off a solid win over the 76ers but The Big Dog was on the mark, with Ish Smith scoring 22 points as the starting opposition point guard and going over his points line of 15.5. Today, it’s Kemba Walker that will be able to benefit from Washington’s apparent inability to slow down John Wall’s direct opponent. Smith was the eleventh consecutive starting point guard that has scored at least 14 points when playing the Wizards. Obviously the line for Walker will be higher than Smith, so in context, Smith was also the seventh point guard in that time to score at least 19 points. Kemba is averaging 20.2 points per game on the season, 21.2 at home and has lifted that to 24.9 in his last ten games. Nothing more needs to be said. On a tricky day, this is clearly a tip worthy of being The Big Dog’s “Play of the Day”.
