Racing on Wednesday evening heads to Sandown. There is a clear standout on the card and i’m keen to bet up and bet up early where possible.
Sandown Race 4
Mick Price sends Tagreeda to Sandown on Wednesday after a very respectable 3rd at Flemington in slashing time two and a half weeks ago. The horse won here two back in this grade of race by 1.5 lengths and maps to sit much closer in the running here from a very positive barrier.
The only ‘query’ on the horse is the wet track, but i’m confident the horse gets through the going based on the first prep maiden run 2nd over 1200m.
Happy with the booking of Chris C to take 2kg off as this horse was pretty much 3-wide the trip two runs back when winning by 1.5L here.
This horse will progress to being listed quality and only a very slowly run race or not handling the track will stop the horse here.
Comments: As noted above, the query is on the speed in the race. Mick Price has three runners here including Sky Lake who is every chance to lead them around…so i’m expecting only the track conditions with a load of rain around on Monday/Tuesday to be the only excuse.
