Welcome to The Profits form guide for Sandown on 20 August 2014. A quick recap of Saturday, two best bets, one won well in Gregers while Charmed Harmony went down in a photo by 0.1L. Just the two races I like today. The first features two runners I have a lot of time for. Yes this is a very competitive race. I think the favourite is big unders, the Hawks runner is an unknown and the Brown runner has been off a LONG time. These two come in with the races under their feet this prep and the form. The second race I like features Paddy’s Gem who put in a strong enough run last start to have be taking the shorts here today. Should have the fitness over the second favourite and the others don’t exactly appeal on form. As always, I hope your form matches up with mine. Good luck and happy punting!

Red means Top pick. Blue means second pick and Green refers to a saver pick. Orange means the pick looks value.
Sandown Race 1
This is a sensational race with some good runners and most importantly some value on offer. Herenoa looks huge unders here today based on form.
I’m opting for a two horse play here.
The stand out for me at the prices is Hard Romp. Currently $6 with most totes but $9 with Bet365, this represents great value. ALL three runs this prep have measured up in this grade just missing the last two starts. Off 53.5kg, he handles the Good going well and will be leading them inside the 100m. It all depends if he can hold them all out.
Nicholls Court is a horse who is best ridden with a sit. While his first up run may have appeared to not be at flattering as it was, he beat home Fab Fevola and comes into this off 0.5kg more today down in class. From barrier 5, I have him mapping to sit 1 back the rail or 1-2 back on the outside.. both of these positions suit and give him every chance. Watch for him to make his run from the 400m and to be staying on to the line.
Comments: Very happy to have a bet on each of my selected horses.
Confidence 70%
Strategy: 1 unit Hard Romp. 0.75 units Nicholls Court.
Sandown Race 6
Paddy’s Gem ran a strong second the last two runs and back in class today up to 54kg looks suited. Critical Angel first up looks under the correct odds while i’m happy to take on the rest of the field. From barrier 1 Paddy’s Gem should find herself in a forward enough position and will be hitting the line strongly.
Comments: Odds available are above the rated price by enough of a margin.
Confidence: 75%
Strategy: Medium sized bet Paddy’s Gem
