Race 2 Moonee Valley
Distant Dreams was a very very good win last start at Moonee Valley beating Metaphorical in a very good time from out the front all the way. She kicked clear at the home bend and handles the track better than Metaphorical. Very positive barrier today, while she is up in distance and giving Metaphorical 2kg today, the price on offer is too hard to ignore. Looking back over that day of racing, the best horses were able to make up ground and run over the non-genuine runners or those not significantly well weighted out the front. I’m very happy to stick with Distant Dreams on the last run and mapping.
Comments: No stuffing around, win bet is the way to go here.

Race 3 Moonee Valley
Very happy to be betting into this race today on a horse with huge ability that has proven himself in much harder grade. Weighted very well today with just 58kg against this lot, expect Rough Justice to push forward from barrier 2 and lead if he gets it easy or to simply hand it up and push on from a sit. Key to the horse is hitting the button and getting going around the turn so hopefully gets off the rail off the right time if has a sit.
Comments: Can’t ignore price on offer for Rough Justice.

Race 4 Moonee Valley
Surprised by the price on one runner here today in Danger Close. Showed huge potential making hsi way through the grades last prep. Newitt goes on here and he has gotten the best out of the horse in the past. Goes well on good or dead and looks very well weighted here from the back. Will need luck to get a run but the trend for these 955m races recently has been to get off the pace and run on late. Beat Lord of the Sky last prep who would be $1.70 favourite here, so i’m very happy to back him at the close to $5 on offer to run top 2.
