Welcome to The Profits form guide for Ballarat Spring Cup Day. Well, Emirates day ended the Spring Carnival with a bang. While the Best Bets both went painfully close, the other tips for the day were on fire with a $12 winner to start the day and $8 winner to finish it. Ballarat certainly isn’t offering the level of competition we saw on Saturday, but there are two runners that stand out for me during the day. As always, I hope your form matches up with mine. Good luck and happy punting!

Ballarat Race 6
A few runners here that raise m interest in the race.
The main runner that stuck out for mine (not the two favs) was Maharaaj from Kav’s yard. Rodd takes the ride first up after 6 months off. Ran a close 3rd to Rhythm To Spare over 1600m last prep but did win his first race over 1400m. His two best runs were from out the front and even though there is a horse or two on speedmaps expected to lead, they are from the outside barriers. I suspect they could either lead or take a sit behind the leaders on him and if he has improved, then he is massive overs in this race at the weights.
Bel Rhythm is a horse I have a bit of time for. The first up run was strong from out the front considering the horse wants further. Equal weight today and lost a plate last start. Barrier 3 and could position as forward again today.
Aurum Spirit is the blow out chance off a huge weight. His runs last prep were solid behind Smarty Mac and Post DFrance and first up over 1200m in almost similar company was strong. The only issue is the weight.

Strategy: Maharaaj on the Each-Way
Ballarat Race 7 – Spring Cup
A few runners in the Cup today that we have backed in the past such as Hannaford who has been a Best Bet previously and Smarty Mac. Form lines have been treating us very well this Spring finishing the carnival in style. Our Next Best on Saturday got done by a nose late by a very progressive runner Girl Gone Rocking. The Queenstown form line is very strong and Bia Diamond was an eye-catching 2nd last start behind Queenstown at Moonee Valley over the 2040. Up 4kg today back down in class big time, Barrier 1 suits and the horse hardly ever runs a bad race. 1 win and 3 places at track and also at distance previously, she has never missed a place. She is always there or there abouts and on the last start run, She will go mighty close with the right ride.
Confidence 80%
Strategy: Bia Diamond on the Each-Way
