Caulfield Race 2
Looks to be the two main chances in King Krovanh and Abdaan. Abdaan is much better weighted than King Krovanh today on previous runs, but King Krovanh has the ability from last prep and first up this prep to win today from barrier 1 as long as he sits closer to the front today.

Caulfield Race 3
A few runners with a chance in this race but the obvious two are Bia Diamond and Aliyana. Bia Diamond has been running very consistently this prep with five seconds and 2 firsts. Aliyana has been great this prep also after winning a maiden and then running third in a mares race at Flemington before disappointing last start at the valley. Not listed but did have a vet exam as something went wrong last start. On previous runs, Aliyana seems the value selection meeting Bia Diamond 1.5kg better off today.

Caulfield Race 4
Four main chances with Genuine Spin, Kitty Costswold, Protector and Haussmann today. The two we like the most today are Genuine Spin and Kitty Cotswold. Genuine Spin won very well at Flemington last prep by 4L over the 2000m (slow track) and then a good second at Caulfield after that. Only question is whether the 1440m is too short a distance. On previous form, you would suspect not off 54kg. Kitty Cotswold ran on very well in much harder class last start at moonee valley and starts at the same weight today.

Caulfield Race 5
Fairly open race. Games, Wokpool and Precocious Ness look to be the main dangers with Potiche a slight chance also. Precocious Ness has the ability to lead this up from barrier 2 and run well. Suspect there will be more pressure today and will be made to run faster than hoped. Games keeps putting in strong runs and may find best today but Wokpool is the one we like coming over from Adelaide down in class with Bossy on board. Her only issue is the barrier.

Caulfield Race 6
Four main chances in Bossdon City, Unique Quality, Red Rain and Champagne SHisha. Bossdon City has been good this prep in much easier class. Hard to compare off this weight how will go today. Red Rain has 2 wins 1 place from 3 first up but didn’t measure up last prep in similar class. With 7 months off, should have trained on and is weighted nicely today. Champagne Shisha looks to be well suited with a win over Slewsay and runs behind Platelet and Bonaria last prep as this track. Weighted to go close. Finally, Unique Quality is a horse who has always shown a lot of ability getting starts behind horses such as Sepoy and Moment of Change, but not getting close to them. Will have to work hard early to get a good position but with 55kg after claim, has the ability to win.

Caulfield Race 7
One of the most open races of the day. Six chances with Trebbiano, First Course, Starkiato, Fourtunefivehundred, Jilkes Spur and Lost Faith all with claims. Suspect this is a step too far for the Moody trained Lost Faith today off 57kg so avoiding with cash. Jileks Spur from barrier 13 will find it tough to go forward and slot in as per the pattern of winning at Geelong. We are left with two. Starkiato down 3kg after a very strong run last start at Seymour will go very close. The one we fancy has 1L (2nd) form behind Scream Machine last prep and won like a very good thing at Moonee Valley last start the 2040m – Fortunefivehundred. Boss taking the ride again, will be there at the end no doubt.
