Welcome to The Profits form guide for 18 December 2015 at Yarra Valley and Moonee Valley. Another day another second, the variance is getting annoying, but at least it was cash back again. Yarra Valley Race 2 – Maysam @ $7.50/$2.75 for 1 unit Each-Way
The old faithful throw at the stumps up in distance. She won her maiden well and measured up at Flemington 3.5L 5th over the carnival from the back on a day when it was hard to make up ground behind Don’t Doubt Mamma. Last start was respectable 7th 3.5L to Kracken in harder class. Finds herself the lowest weight up in distance which may just be what she wants from a positive barrier so she should be further forward in the race topped off with the loweest weight in the race. At the price, i’m more than happy to play here.
Yarra Valley Race 8 – Beau Garcon @ $3.4 for 1.5 units to win. Crossroad @ $5.50 for 1 unit to win
Crossroad is well back in class from his last four runs in BM-70 grade. Went close with a 2nd 2nd and 3rd before the bad run last start when he didn’t want the extra 150m. Back to 1200m and barrier 6 should see him in the required spot. Ben Allen’s claim is the key. Beau Garcon is expected to lead from the barrier. Destroyed a decent field last start by 5.3lengths and Gilt Edge who ran 2nd has won since. Looks to be going the right way. Happy to back both.
Moonee Valley Race 2 – Miss Cooper @ $3.00 for 2 units to win
Last start did a load of work to get a spot on speed at Moonee Valley outside the leader. Time run was very fast sub 1:36! Just strolled into the race around the turn not even touched and absolutely flew away from them to smash them! Two back run they simply went too slow and she was a improved run last start. Keen at the price.
Moonee Valley Race 4 – Dyletta @ $16/$4 for 0.5 units Each-Way
Very strong win last start beating some horses that have gone on and measured up in higher grade. Well enough weighted and looks to have made the step up to this level. Barrier only issue.
Moonee Valley Race 8 – Lord Esprit @ $5/$1.95 for 1 unit Each-Way
Measured up at 3YO grade with a 2nd behind Rough Justice at Flemington. Smashed them in harder grade at Echuca and measured up in down over in Adelaide also. 3 months between runs and from barrier 5 should settle just back from midfield and looks well suited in this grade at the weights.
