It’s been a while since we have had a look at a Wednesday meeting on the website, but there are two horses more than worth betting on at Sandown on the Hillside track. I’m expecting a fair track throughout the day on a nice dry track.

Sandown Race 4 – Magna Rossa @ $2.60 to win for 1 unit
Still a maiden, but she measured up to the top level in her very first prep with a 2nd behind the very talented Green Card at Caulfield in 2YO grade. Has been training very well since coming back from a spell and Katie Mallyon is back onboard for the first up run from barrier 6. Will be on speed and hard to hold out back in this grade.
Sandown Race 8 – Monogram @ 5.50 to win for 1 unit
Went straight into my book as a ‘back next start horse’ when i saw it’s unlucky run at Moonee Valley behind a very good horse in Yellen last start. Not only has she drawn a positive barrier today, but she also gets the extra distance in the race that she is crying out for. Her sectionals don’t lie from last start and I’m 100% certain she not only would have beat all but Yellen all home if she had clear running last start, she would have put at least a length on them. Speed looks to be on in the race which is the cherry on top today.
