We are blessed with two meetings at Mornington and Moonee Valley this fine Friday. We come in off a great result at the Bool yesterday, but let’s continue to take it a day at a time and see how it goes. The card at Mornington is very weak, but there is one race i’m keen to bet into, while confidence is much higher at Moonee Valley with three stand-out races. As always, I hope your form matches up with mine.

Mornington Race 5 – FriendWithBenefits @ $11/$3.50 Each-Way for 0.25 units
R-58 race so hard to be overly excited or confident, but I was more than impressed in her last run of last prep. Only a month and a half between runs, it’s more a freshen up than a spell she has had, so expecting her to remain fit. The horse that ran 3rd that day behind Friendwithbenefits won a BM-64 two runs after that run as well.
Moonee Valley Race 2 – Validate @ $6.50 to win for 1.5 units
Strong run 2nd last start over in Adelaide – beaten 0.5L, the 3rd horse was 4.3L off the winner who last prep beat Lizard Island (2nd) at Caulfield by 2.3 lengths in a 16 horse field – and is group 3 placed. McEvoy runners have a great strike rate the past month over here and she looks very well placed. Barrier two and Dylan Dunn onboard claiming 3kg, i’m very keen to be involved here.
Moonee Valley Race 5 – Fab Fevola @ $3.00 to place for 1 unit
Fab Fevola is down in grade back over the 955m. Rail out 2m, expecting it to suit front runners and to give them every chance. Weight should be no issue and doesn’t look to be any competition for the lead.
Moonee Valley Race 7 – Show A Star @ $2.70 to win for 2 units AND Swacadelic @ $13 to win for 0.35 units
Show A Star is the clear leader today coming off a strong win last start at Ballarat. Looks well suited to back that run up here today. Swacadelic should have won last start in similar grade at course and distance and is over the correct odds in the race also.
