Welcome to The Profits form guide for 29 January 2016 at Moonee Valley. The rail goes out from the 3m position to the 5m position which should give those on and off the pace every chance today. There is 8-20mm of rain expected throughout the day and while I don’t think we will get a overly wet track even if all the rain hits the valley, it’s worth picking runners you know will handle the ground, while also knowing they are the best chances in that race if the downpour doesn’t fully hit the track. Moonee Valley Race 3 – Source Code for 1 unit @ $4.60 to win
Very consistent horse that always seems to run very well. This looks the easiest race he has seen in some time and from barrier 1 he rates to have every possible chance.
Moonee Valley Race 7 – Black Sheep for 1 unit @ $11 to win AND Heavy for 1 unit @ $10 to win
I was a little shocked by the prices on offer today for these two talented horses. Black Sheep will be going forward while Heavy will be taking a midfield position from the barriers. Heavy is proven on the ground while Black Sheep has won on a Heavy track in the past. I think both look suited and I thought they would both be in contention for favourtism!
Moonee Valley Race 8 – Brockhoff for 1.5 units @ $3 to win. Strykum for 1 unit @ $6 to win
The two class runners here are Brockhoff and Strykum. Most importantly, both are proven on wet tracks in the past and this distance is where their best runs have occured. Both map well for runs just off the leaders.
