Wednesday Racing returns to the Geelong turf with a Soft 7 and a few MM of rain expected overnight. It’s not often i’m willing to step out on a Wednesday at a track outside of Sandown, but i’ve had my eye on this talented horse in Race 8 since it’s impressive last start win. As always and I hope your form matches up with mine! Good luck and happy punting.

Geelong Race 8 – 1100 metres
There isn’t many horses of ‘ability’ in this race (pun intended) and my ratings really have it down to a 4 main chances. The clear two to focus on though are Ability and Fabulonh. I thought Ability ran ‘well’ first up at Flemington behind Astro Castro, but also had every chance that day. Yes, back in class and up to open grade racing today, but i’m not convinced the price on offer is correct here.
My eyes are on the talented Fabulonh. He did a lot wrong last start at Sandown and Oliver had to push him on when he kept pulling.. not only did he last the 500m straight, but he won with authority over a very classy field with horses behind such as Septamore, Crystal Dreamer, El Dorado Mine and Vostok who have all gone onto harder tasks and run well since. The softer track today will be suited and from barrier 6 Oliver will get him into the perfect spot… he can lead if he needs, but we will be happy with taking a sit.
Confidence 85%
Strategy: Fabulonh for 2 units @ $3.30
